calling all drummers! help with cymbal cleaning (looked at previous answer and tried but failed)?

hi i have some old zildjan cymbals and a zilco hi-hat. i have removed green oxide that buids up on them with lemon juice and polished with brasso but these dark, rust-like spots remained, how can i clean them away?

Here's what my husband (drummer for almost 20 years) says..."go to a music store and get cymbal cleaner". It's made for cleaning cymbals. He said there are no home remedies that do a good job.
If that doesn't work it could just be that you're stuck with old cymbals that look old My drummer has one that looks really bad. Even has chips out of the edges. But it's his favorite cymbal.
