What is the first major upgrade I should make to my drum set?
I have been playing drums for six or seven months now. I play on a 5 piece tama imperialstar set which has been so good to me. But now I am going to try to make the set my own...but I am on a strict budget and need to save before I can really do anything...But I was just wondering what should the first major upgrade to my set be? New drum heads, new cymbals, or what?
its tough, really depends what your wanting to go for. i uprgraded my cymbals first because of the music i play, but shortly after i upgraded my entire kit. from there i replaced the heads. But my biggest up grade has been to double kickers. you can upgrade little bits at a time or wait till you ahve the cash to go for a whole new kit. Look at the type of music you want to play and upgrade accordingly
