Lancer GTS 09 170 whp what mods comes next?
Ok... I own a lancer gts 09 with a couple of mods (injen intake, greddy cat back, custom pulley and a reflash of the factory computer). I took it to a dyno the other day anf it's pulling 170whp 169tq. My goal is getting about 190whp - 200whp to beat some civic si's on the road. What comes next?? I know turbo is one of the options but i'd like to know if theres anything else to do before going turbo.
how in the world did you get a greddy cat-back for the car, unless you did a custom catback and took out both resonators for the car to the greddy AXLE-BACK. you can squeeze out some more hp by getting a midpipe (delete your cat and go straight-pipe) and also get a 4-1 header since all of the powerband is mainly after 3k rpm. you can try to get camshafts from the evo x but you would have to bore it differently since the evo is turboed. theres some evo x parts that "can" fit according to some testers in other countries but its a risk to run with them as well. also if you did get your tuned BEFORE you had the exhaust system, pulley, and/or your intake then the car isn't pushing more out. getting a tuned after having those parts would have more effect to it.
honestly why would you street race in the first place. take it to the track rather than mess around with some chump on the street.
