Can you use a marching snare drum instead of a regular trap?

I found a trap in that shop and Ludwig it's good that I feel confident to play with. My regular trap is too strong at the moment and try to adjust it many times. I am a novice at best, and I really want to be consistent throughout my basics. PLZ help ??!!!! but why is my trap so hard. I want to be a little tit dull, as in more rock songs. I know you can adjust the strainer but I've heard other drummers and trap arent as strong. it sounds different microphones up?

The above poster was correct, traps are made for walking his project. They also sound so different traps drums should sound. I have some advice for you. First, one of the most important things you can learn on a drum is the control ... especially when practicing the basics. The goal is to practice the basics is the speed and control. Much control can play a very when you need quiet. If you do not have a metronome, get one. Start practicing your basics at slow tempos. Keep your stick heights very low and gradually increase the tempo on your metronome. The tendency is to get stronger as you get faster, but you want to fight this trend ... try to obtain more quickly while keeping your volume as well. You should be able to play your snare drum with a constant volume so loud or quiet. Remember, you want to play your snare ... do not be playing. Good luck and happy drumming!
