Should I sand my own hardwood floors?
I'm considering sanding and refinishing my own hardwood floors, but am nervous about the skill level I need to do it, and the dust. Any suggestions?
Yes, there is plenty of dust. I rented a floor sander. It had a rotating drum with replaceable sand papers. Somehow If you pushed it the wrong way it would really eat into the floor.
Results were pretty good tho, with a urethane coat. There were ornamental stripes that we could not detect before.
