What's the weather like on the West Coast (Part II)?

About two weeks ago, I asked a question regarding the weather on the West Coast and voiced a few of my opinions, addressing future extreme weather. In support of my hypothesis, I found a story on Yahoo! News talking of such. One was killed, and four others were stranded due to avalanches. Nearly 11,000 homes and businesses throughout Southern California were without electricity, including about 6,700 Los Angeles Department of Water and Power customers. Southern California rainfall totals from Monday afternoon through 4 p.m. Friday included 9.43 inches at Opids Camp in the San Gabriel Mountains above Pasadena and 8.15 inches at Gibraltar Dam in Santa Barbara County. So I will ask again, has the weather not worsened?
Will it continue to do so?
