What kind of paint / brushes / background material should i use to get a smooth look?
What kind of paint and brushes should i use to get a very professional, smooth, high opacity, non painterly look, and what surface should I paint on? Your input is appreciated, thanks! I'm thinking more, acrylic paint, also.
i would say get illustration board and paint about 3 or 4 layers of gesso on it (wait for each layer to dry before you apply the next) then sand down the jesso so its veeeery smooth. then use acrylic paint and again paint them on in layers sand them down then apply a light wash of that same color watered down. you'll get a VERY smooth background
