Why does itunes crash when I try and watch a TV show?
I purchased and downloaded a TV show from the itunes store, but every time I try and watch it itunes crashes. It plays music fine as usual. I am using itunes 8.0.2.20 on my Toshiba laptop with Vista. Anyone have any ideas? I'm gutted I can't watch the show I downloaded.

I have had and sometimes still have that problem intermittently. I download about 10 different shows such as Lost and The Office and it does it crashes on all of them. Funny thing is everything else works great including video podcasts.
What I have done is to uninstall itunes through the windows uninstall area as well as any other itunes/quicktime software. Restart computer. Go to filehippo.com and get an older version of itunes such as the latest version 7.0
I dont know the reason why itunes 8+ is doing this at least to me. I have been searching for an actuall answer and have not got a reply from apple. I have had this toshiba latop for almost a year and never had this problem untill version 8 of itunes. Goodluck
